Loss Minimization for Bipolar DC Distribution Grid Considering Probabilistic EV Charging Load Using Load Balancing Method

This paper proposes a novel method for power loss minimization and voltage unbalance mitigation in bipolar DC distribution grid (DCDG) considering probabilistic electric vehicle (EV) charging load. In the proposed method, flow analysis DCDG is performed by G-matrix Gauss’s iteration methods. The Monte Carlo Simulation (MCS) used to evaluate impact of EV load demand manner. To reduce problem minimize system, particle swarm optimization (PSO) employed search an optimal connection type that can factor (VUF) total loss. was tested with 21-bus system several cases verify potential method. results shown successfully VUF consideration. Therefore, methodology be useful enhancing operation mitigating charging.
